명준희의 진(Zine) 삼부작
 

이 삼부작은 서울의 도시 하천인 불광천을 따라 걷는 매일의 산책에서 태어난 세 권의 독립출판물이다. 사진, 비주얼 에세이, 필드노트, 아카이브 조각을 통해 새, 물, 유리문, 사라져가는 동네의 문양을 이주와 귀환, 공존의 징후로 읽는다.
 

잔물결에서 유목적 파동으로 다시 문으로 이어지는 이 작업은 기억과 생태, 소속이 닫힌 결론이 아니라 계속 열려 있는 문턱임을 보여준다.

This trilogy gathers three self-published zines that grew out of daily walks along Bulgwangcheon, an urban stream in Seoul.

Through photography, visual poetry, field notes, essays, and archival fragments, the project follows birds, water, glass doors and vanishing neighborhood motifs as signs of migration, return, and coexistence.
 

The zines move from small ripples to nomadic waves and finally to doors: thresholds where memory, ecology, and belonging remain open rather than resolved.

잔물결은 불광천에서 시작된다. 수면, 새, 식물, 반사, 아파트의 가장자리, 매일의 산책길처럼 지나치기 쉬운 장면들을 도시가 조각난 채 살아남는 증거로 기록한다. 자연을 배경으로 소비하기보다 하천의 느린 움직임과 그곳에 계속 머무는 존재들의 신호를 듣는다.

Zanmulgyeol begins with Bulgwangcheon. It records small overlooked scenes, water surfaces, birds, plants, reflections, apartment edges, and ordinary paths, as evidence of how a city survives in fragments.

유목적 파동은 이동, 이주 그리고 유동적인 ‘집’의 감각을 따라간다. 잎, 물, 번진 색, 떠다니는 형상들은 여러 도시와 언어, 대륙을 지나온 삶의 은유가 된다. 이 작업은 뿌리 없는 삶도 하나의 뿌리내림이 될 수 있는지 묻는다.

Nomadic Fluidity follows movement, displacement and the unstable idea of home. Leaves, water, blurred color and floating forms become metaphors for a life carried across cities, languages, and continents. The work asks whether a rootless life can still become a form of rootedness.

Essayistic archive / Door, glass, and threshold motifs

불광천의 문들은 불광천과 은평 일대에서 발견한 오래된 유리문과 문턱의 문양을 모은 에세이적 아카이브다. 학, 소나무, 구름, 반투명 유리 문양은 낡은 건물의 문 위에 남아 보호와 조화에 대한 조용한 바람을 품고 있다. 여기서 문은 단순한 건축물이 아니라 인간의 기억과 비인간 존재의 귀환을 잇는 통로다. 유리에 새겨졌던 새들이 이제 하천 위에 실제로 나타난다.
 

The Doors of Bulgwangcheon gathers old glass doors and threshold motifs found around Bulgwangcheon and Eunpyeong. Cranes, pine trees, clouds and frosted patterns remain on older buildings, carrying quiet wishes for protection and harmony. Here, doors are not only architectural objects but portals between human memory and non-human return: the birds once etched into glass now appear again along the stream.
