JOONHEE MYUNG
Writing
Language has never been a neutral tool in my life.
It has been a condition of movement, adaptation, misreading, survival and now return.
Working across Korean and English, and at times through Spanish-speaking contexts, I approach writing and translation as forms of listening. In my practice, language carries memory, class, migration, silence, and the unstable textures of belonging.
My work in writing, translation, and interpretation moves between literature, visual art, documentary, and cross-cultural exchange. These experiences have shaped the way I think about tone, absence, rhythm, and the politics of representation across media.
